About the author

Sherry Loeffler is an author/freelance writer. She has self published two children’s picture books – Busy Buzzing Bees and Ambitioius Antsy Ants. Her first adult mystery novel was published in March, 2005 – How Not to Cruise the High Seas. Her second mystery novel in the series – How Not to Lose a Librarian will be released in February, 2007. She has written three chapbooks with her poetry in them. She has a chapbook for children called The Guardian Angel. It is the life of Jesus seen through the eyes of His Guardian Angel. She has put three of her children’s stories into a chapbook – Children’s Story Time, and has written a chapbook called That Dreaded C Word, which is about her husband and their experiences with cancer.

Sherry is a member of several writing circles including The Writing circle of Durham Region (see website wcdr.org), Northword Edition in Uxbridge, Write Now in Uxbridge, Children’s Writing Circle in Oshawa, Christians Who Write in Whitby and the Richard Ferrier Writing Circle in Pickering. Through these groups she gets ideas for stories and scenes for her novels and they help to keep the creative juices flowing.

She and her husband Frank live in Stouffville, ON Canada. Sherry has two children from a previous marriage, Tim and Hollie. Hollie has two children, Jean-Marc and Victoria and one on the way in June. Tim’s wife Diana has two children, Kyle and Kristi, who is expecting a baby in May.

Sherry and Frank attend The Bridge – A Markham Community Church, formerly called Markham Pentecostal Church. Sherry used to have her own clown ministry, in which she went to churches to present the Gospel message through balloon sculptures, magic and skits. She doesn’t do as much now due to health problems, but will put on a show when asked, since she loves ministering to children.

Sherry is also a PartyLite Candle consultant and enjoys presenting candle shows to people and showing off the latest in candle holders and scents.
